Dreaming Up Your Big Day? Here’s What a Wedding at The Olde Wicks Factory Could Look Like
If you’re planning a wedding in Illinois and craving a space that blends industrial beauty with bright, modern elegance, The Olde Wicks Factory is one to keep on your list. This venue has everything! Exposed brick, twinkle lights, whitewashed beams, and plenty of space to make your day feel entirely your own. I captured a stunning winter wedding at The Olde Wicks Factory that turned the entire space into a cozy winter wonderland. And it was just stunning. Whether you’re hosting an intimate ceremony or a huge dance party with 200 of your closest friends, this venue seriously knows how to set the scene!
This Is How Your Ceremony Space Could Look at The Olde Wicks Factory
The ceremony took place in the East Wing. A dreamy all-white space with wood beams, creamy brick walls, and so much natural light. It’s a blank canvas that doesn’t feel too blank. Like it already has soul but lets you put your full personality into it. For this wedding, the couple added soft winter greenery to the chairs and staircase, pops of pinecones, and tall candlelit centerpieces that gave the whole space a romantic glow. And can we talk about that big Christmas tree at the altar? It was the perfect festive touch. Everything felt warm and inviting without being over-the-top!
Wondering How Your Bridal Portraits Could Look Like At The Olde Wicks Factory?
We took advantage of both the bright upstairs loft and the moodier spaces throughout the venue. The loft-style open space was the ultimate spot for elegant, editorial-style portraits, the bride’s sleek gown and the groom’s classic tux popped so beautifully against the soft white walls and garlands of evergreen. Later in the evening, we slipped into the Lounge area, which gives off cigar bar-meets-speakeasy energy with leather couches and moody lighting. The couple cozied up on a vintage loveseat for some flash-style candids that looked like they were straight out of a film. It’s such a unique combo, airy and soft meets rich and dramatic, all in one venue!
This Is How the Reception Space Can Transform
The Main Hall is where The Olde Wicks Factory really gets to show off. This space is massive, think tall ceilings draped with chiffon, glowing chandeliers, and tons of room for dancing, dining, and everything in between. The couple went all-in on the winter theme with black tablecloths, layered greenery, candles floating in glass vases, and metallic accents that sparkled under the string lights. Also worth noting? The venue is super flexible with layout options. They had a statement sweetheart table in front of a trio of Christmas trees, and guests were seated at a mix of round and banquet-style tables. There was even an ice sculpture monogram, which was the coolest surprise (literally).
A Stunning & FUN Winter Wonderland Themed Reception at The Olde Wicks Factory
When I say this crew partied, I mean it. The dance floor opened with glow sticks, cocktails in hand, and a full lineup of outfit changes and grandma-grandpa dance moves. The Main Hall gives you plenty of room for a DJ booth or band setup. Plus a photo booth or guestbook station without it feeling cramped. I love that The Olde Wicks Factory gives couples the ability to make each part of the day feel distinct. From light and sentimental to wild and rowdy, without having to change venues!
