Lilly & Curtis’s day was one of those instant chills kind of days, an Elegant St. Louis Wedding that blended their classic style with a fun, modern, editorial twist. From the moment I arrived at her family home to capture the morning moments, it was clear this day was rooted in tradition, but told in a way that felt effortless and real. Their church, their venues, even their pacing all tied back to their story, and it made the whole day feel so personal!
The night before the wedding set the tone in the best way. Lilly & Curtis hosted their rehearsal dinner at Bowood by Niche, and it was one of those summer evenings that just felt easy. Guests gathered under string lights with cocktails, long tables, and the prettiest candlelit setup. Everyone was relaxed, laughing, and fully present, which made the whole night feel so welcoming. It gave me the perfect chance to document their people in such a natural, candid way, no rushing, no posing, just genuine moments that carried straight into their wedding day.

Lilly’s details were such a soft, pretty mix of blues, whites, and delicate textures, simple but so intentional. Her invitation suite set the tone right away, paired with perfume bottles and florals that photographed beautifully. Everything felt classic but still fresh, which matched her vision perfectly. I leaned into a more editorial approach here, capturing textures and layouts that felt like something out of a magazine spread!

The morning was relaxed and genuinely sweet. Lilly got ready at home surrounded by her mom and girls, and the whole energy felt calm in the best way. Her first looks with her dad and brother were some of the most emotional parts of the day, nothing staged, just honest reactions that photographed so beautifully. She slipped into her stunning gown, and from that moment the excitement really kicked in.

Their ceremony took place at Our Lady of the Pillar, the parish Lilly grew up in and where her family has deep roots. The space felt meaningful from the minute we walked in. The ceremony itself was simple, traditional, and reverent. I loved documenting the little moments, glances between them, reactions from family, and how calm and centered the whole room felt. It was the perfect start to their marriage!

Because Lilly wanted an editorial, filmy feel, we kept portraits quick and natural. Wedding party photos were full of energy and movement, and then we stole about twenty minutes for the two of them. Those minutes were magic. With the soft outdoor light and Lilly’s gorgeous gown, everything came together so easily. Nothing felt forced, they just trusted the process and had fun with it, which always shows in the photos.

Their cocktail hour was a dream. Norwood Country Club was the perfect place for this part of their Elegant St. Louis Wedding because it’s not just a venue, it’s part of Lilly’s story. Her family grew up here, and you could feel that connection in every corner. The design was vibrant and lively, and guests were fully in celebration mode. The reception carried that same energy, warm lighting, joyful conversations, and a packed dance floor that never slowed down. It was the kind of night that felt like everyone was exactly where they were supposed to be!

Sarah…. THEY ARE UNBELIEVABLE we literally have been going through them for hours and we’re still crying You brought out every emotion we felt in these photos. Seriously i look at them and im transported back to how i was feeling in that moment and they are everything we wanted and more!
