A Timeless Coronado St. Louis Wedding With Elegant Details

A Timeless Coronado St. Louis Wedding With Elegant Details

There’s something about a Coronado St. Louis wedding that I just love! Between the historic architecture, beautiful interiors, and all the possibilities for wedding design, The Coronado is easily one of my favorite wedding venues in St. Louis. This wedding was such a good example of how you can bring together classic details with a little color and personality. From the gorgeous florals and green bridesmaid dresses to the candlelit reception, everything came together so beautifully. And there were a few personal touches that made the day even more special!

Getting Ready & A Sweet First Look

The day started with getting ready alongside family and friends, and I loved all the little moments that happened before everything officially began. The bride wore a classic strapless gown with a full skirt, long veil, and gloves that gave her look such a timeless feel. Paired with her colorful bouquet of pink, white, and purple florals, it was the prettiest combination!

Before the ceremony, Britian & Morgan shared a first look and exchanged private vows surrounded by greenery. We also took advantage of the beautiful outdoor locations for their portraits and wedding party photos. The different shades of green bridesmaid dresses looked so good together, especially with the colorful bouquets! One thing I always recommend is planning for most of your immediate family photos before the ceremony, too. Keeping that list concise means you can leave just a few larger extended family groupings for afterward and spend more time actually enjoying your wedding day.

A Classic Coronado St. Louis Wedding Ceremony

One of my favorite things about The Coronado is how much character the venue already has. The historic architecture, beautiful detailing, and elegant interiors make it such a great space for couples who want a classic wedding with their own personal style mixed in. You really don’t have to do too much to make this venue feel special!

For the ceremony, the couple kept things elegant with large floral arrangements, greenery, and candles lining the front of the space. The soft pinks and greens worked so well against the ornate white architectural details, and the candlelight added such a pretty touch. I also loved how they incorporated their colorful floral design without taking away from the beauty of the venue itself. Everything felt cohesive while still letting The Coronado’s character shine through.

An Elegant Candlelit Reception at The Coronado

The reception design was probably one of my favorite parts of this wedding! The tables were filled with tall floral arrangements, smaller centerpieces, gold accents, and plenty of candles. I loved how they carried the same pink, white, and green color palette throughout the day while creating a completely different atmosphere for the reception. With the warm lighting and historic details of the room, everything felt so elegant and inviting.

And one of the sweetest details was the wedding cake! It was actually a recreation of Britian’s parents’ wedding cake, which I thought was such a meaningful way to include a little family history in the celebration. It’s those personal details that make a wedding feel like your own. The Coronado is also such a great option logistically, with a wonderful catering team and plenty of hotels nearby in St. Louis for guests traveling in. It’s one of those venues that offers both a beautiful setting and a great overall wedding experience!
