Gavin & Gabby’s Proposal and Engagement Party at The Callaway Jewel
When Gavin reached out to me to capture his proposal to Gabby, I knew this was going to be an event filled with surprises, emotions, and unforgettable moments! As a preferred vendor at The Callaway Jewel, a stunning new venue in St. Louis, I was thrilled to document this special occasion from start to finish. It’s not often I get to photograph both a surprise proposal and engagement party on the same day, but I certainly can’t wait to do it again!
The Perfect Surprise at The Callaway Jewel
The day started with Gabby arriving at The Callaway Jewel under the pretense of a styled shoot set up by Carley Jeans Florals. Little did she know, this was all a front for Gavin’s meticulously planned proposal! The moment was nothing short of magical as Gabby, completely unsuspecting, was taken by surprise when Gavin dropped to one knee. As happy and excited as she was, little did she know that the celebration had only just begun!
After the proposal, Gabby was in for another surprise: an engagement party with her closest family and friends. Her parents and grandparents had flown in from Florida to be there, shocking her even more. The engagement party was a lively, poolside summer celebration that truly set the tone for their newly engaged chapter!
One of the most perfect moments of the day was when Gabby and Gavin took photos in the reception barn, which is currently under construction. This barn will be the very place where they will say their vows on their wedding day, making the photos even more special. It’s moments like these that remind me why I love what I do – capturing the beginning of a couple’s journey in a place that will hold their future memories!
