Meridith and Tim’s summer wedding in St. Louis was one of those days that just felt good from the start. No stress, no chaotic timeline, just pure joy and timeless beauty. With a ceremony at The Jewel Box in Forest Park and a reception at The Coronado, these two created a wedding experience that was meaningful, elegant, and full of heart. And because they added both 35mm film and Super 8 film to their coverage, every moment was captured with that dreamy, nostalgic glow. Come read more about their effortlessly beautiful day!
From the very beginning, every detail of this summer wedding felt intentional. Their invitation suite set the tone with clean, minimalist design paired with vintage accents, a subtle nod to the timeless aesthetic incorporated throughout the day. We styled their details with soft neutral tones, an old postcard of the city, and a chic velvet ring box that tied everything together. At The Jewel Box, the ceremony setup had modern white pedestals overflowing with soft white flowers and tropical greenery, the perfect complement to the lush glass greenhouse. Later at The Coronado, that aesthetic shifted to moody romance with gold-rimmed frames, black linens, floating candles, and twinkle-lit baby’s breath. Classic, luxe, and effortlessly cool!
Getting ready was beautifully simple, which made it all the more special. Meridith got into her dress surrounded by the women closest to her, no chaos, just quiet joy and anticipation. Her gown was sleek and timeless with a dramatic train, and her smile said it all. I loved capturing those in-between moments: slipping on her slippers that read “BRIDE,” looking out the window, sharing a moment with her mom. Tim’s morning mirrored hers in energy calm, relaxed, and classic. He got buttoned up in a light-filled suite, sharing a quiet moment with his dad before heading to the park. Everything about this part of the day felt slow and grounded in the best way.
With no wedding party and no strict schedule, we had time to truly wander and create. Meridith and Tim chose to do portraits before the ceremony, and Forest Park gave us the most stunning natural light and backdrops. They walked together through the palm-lined walkways of the conservatory, laughing and soaking it all in before the “I do’s.” That space, all glass and light and greenery made every photo feel cinematic. Their chemistry is so natural, and it made for images that felt more like stills from a film than posed photos. These are the kinds of portraits that will never go out of style!
The Jewel Box in Forest Park is one of St. Louis’ most iconic ceremony spots and for good reason. The towering glass ceilings, tropical plants, and botanical vibe make it feel like a secret garden in the middle of the city. With a live string duo playing softly and white florals flanking the altar, the setting was romantic and peaceful. Tim’s eyes lit up when Meridith walked in. They met each other at the front, hands already clasped, and the ceremony unfolded with so much tenderness. No wedding party meant all eyes were on them, and it created such an intimate atmosphere!
After golden hour portraits and a vintage car ride through the city, the reception kicked off at The Coronado. The vibe completely shifted from tropical and airy to rich and moody. Think candlelight, gold detailing, black linens, and romantic arrangements of baby’s breath and greenery. The space felt upscale and cozy all at once like an old-world ballroom with modern touches. Meridith and Tim made their entrance hand-in-hand, glasses raised, glowing in every way. Their reception was full of heartfelt toasts, great music, and quiet little moments just for the two of them. With Super 8 and film rolling the whole time, even the tiniest memories, like the way they looked at each other when no one else was watching got captured forever!
