If you’re searching for elegant St. Louis wedding venues, you’re in luck. St. Louis has so many incredible places to get married. Whether you’re dreaming of a luxury hotel, a historic museum, a garden ceremony, or a romantic countryside estate. One of my favorite things about photographing weddings in St. Louis is that no two venues feel the same. Each one has its own personality, and the right venue really sets the tone for your entire day. If you’re just starting your venue search, these are five of my favorite elegant St. Louis wedding venues. They’re beautiful, photograph incredibly well, and each offers something a little different depending on the kind of wedding you’re planning!

If you’re looking for a venue that feels modern, luxurious, and effortless. The Four Seasons Hotel is always at the top of my list. Located downtown overlooking the Mississippi River and the Gateway Arch. It’s one of those venues where everything is in one place. You can get ready, have your ceremony, celebrate your reception, and spend the night without ever leaving the property. One of my favorite things about weddings here is how easy the day flows. The getting-ready suites have gorgeous natural light, the rooftop terrace creates an amazing backdrop for ceremonies and cocktail hour, and the ballroom feels elegant without needing much additional decor. If you’re planning a black-tie wedding or simply want a seamless guest experience, this venue is hard to beat.

The Jewel Box is one of the most recognizable wedding venues in Forest Park, and it’s easy to see why. The historic greenhouse is filled with natural light, tropical plants, and beautiful architecture that creates an incredible ceremony backdrop year-round. One thing couples love is that the venue already feels complete. You don’t need to spend a fortune transforming the space because the gardens and glass walls do so much of the work for you. After your ceremony, you’re also just minutes from so many portrait locations throughout Forest Park, making it easy to create a gallery with lots of variety without adding extra travel time to your timeline.

If you’ve always pictured getting married surrounded by rolling hills and beautiful scenery, the Inns at St. Albans is such a fun option. Just outside St. Louis, this venue offers a quieter setting while still being close enough for guests traveling into town. The property has multiple ceremony locations, elegant reception spaces, and plenty of room for guests to explore throughout the day. I especially love photographing portraits here because there are beautiful views in every direction. Whether you’re planning a spring wedding with fresh greenery or a cozy fall celebration, the property photographs beautifully in every season.

For couples who love being surrounded by nature, the Missouri Botanical Garden is one of the most unique places to get married in St. Louis. Every season brings something different, so your wedding day can have a completely different feel depending on when you get married. There are several ceremony and reception spaces throughout the gardens, which gives couples flexibility depending on their guest count and vision. From colorful flowers to tree-lined paths and historic buildings, there are endless portrait opportunities without ever feeling like you’re taking the same photo twice. If you want your wedding day to feel romantic, timeless, and outdoors without leaving the city, this venue is definitely worth touring.

The St. Louis Art Museum is easily one of the most iconic wedding venues in the city. If you’re drawn to classic architecture, grand staircases, and timeless interiors, this venue has so much to offer. One of my favorite parts about weddings here is how versatile the photos feel. You have elegant indoor spaces, beautiful museum architecture, and Forest Park right outside the doors, giving you several completely different looks throughout the day. It’s especially perfect for couples planning a formal wedding with a clean, editorial style while still wanting plenty of natural outdoor portraits.

The best venue really comes down to the experience you want to create. If luxury and convenience are your priorities, the Four Seasons Hotel is an incredible choice. Dreaming of a garden wedding, it’s hard to beat the Jewel Box or Missouri Botanical Garden. If you want wide-open scenery, the Inns at St. Albans offers a beautiful countryside feel. While the St. Louis Art Museum is perfect for couples who love timeless architecture and elegant city weddings. No matter which venue you choose, St. Louis has so many beautiful options that can fit a wide variety of wedding styles while still feeling timeless years from now.

I’d love to help you document it. Whether you’re planning an intimate celebration or a full wedding weekend.
